The Lord of the Storm
Pastor Tom
Pastor Tom continues our study of the Gospel of Luke.
What do a raging sea and a tormented man living among tombs have in common? More than we might think. In Luke chapter 8, we encounter two storms placed side by side with unmistakable purpose. The first is the kind we can see -- the diagnosis, the layoff, the marriage fracturing, the midnight phone call. The second is the kind no one sees -- the addiction we cannot shake, the shame that has driven us into isolation, the internal voices that will not quiet. Both storms are real. Both storms are dangerous. And into both, Jesus speaks the same word.
